Junsu was born in Daegu,South Korea and the lead vocalist of the group. Also known for his sense of humor. He’s fond of collecting black music and writing songs. One of the most fashionable among 2PM members. He knows how to speak English and Chinese. He auditioned for YG Entertainment where he met and became friend with BigBang’s Taeyang and GDragon. He was both accepted into YG and JYP Entertainment but chooses JYPE over YGE.

NICHKHUN

Nichkhun was born in Rancho Cucamonga, California to a Thai parents. He is one of the vocals and dancer of the group. He spent his childhood in Thailand and America, studied elementary in New Zealand and returned to America and attended Los Osos high. Nichkhun knows how to play the piano. He was scouted by Park Jin Young at the Korean Music Festival in Los Angeles. He signed an eight year contract with JYPE excluding training. Nichkhun learned to speak Mandarin and Korean as one of the requirements of the company.

Taecyeon was born in Seoul, South Korea but migrated to Bedford, Massachusetts and spent his childhood there. He stayed in the US for seven years. Taec(his nickname) is the rapper of the group and the toughest of the members of 2PM. He speaks English fluently. Taecyeon was educated at Gel In high School in Seoul and studied Business Administration in Dankook University. He originally auditioned as a model for JYP Entertainment in New York City. He was also on the same audition show as Junho and Chansung in Superstar Survival, but was the first contestant to leave the show.

WOOYOUNG

Wooyoung was born in Busan, South Korea, one of the vocals and dancer of the group. He is best known for his ssanti dance moves. His well known nicknames are “Ang Ang”, ‘Mandu Cheeks”, and “Ssanti Wooyoung”. Wooyoung as a child loves to dance but his father was against to his dancing. He attended Seoul School for the Arts where he majored in dancing. He knows how to speak Chinese. He joined MGoon’s JYP audition and was selected as a JYP trainee. Wooyoung won first place on the said audition beating 500 other candidates.

Junho is from Ilsan, South Korea. He is the main vocalist and lead dancer of the group. He dances well and doing great in performing acrobatics. Junho is often compared with Korean superstar Rain because of his looks. Junho knows how to speak Chinese. Fans loves him because of his eyes. He earned a contract with JYP Entertainment after winning the JYP’s Superstar Survival talent search(for which Taecyeon and Chansung were also contestant) in 2006, placing 1st out of 6000 competitors.

Chansung is from Seoul, South Korean, the youngest or the “maknae” of the group. He loves eating banana as shown in their past shows. His fans considered him as the king of eating. He’s one of the vocals and the rapper of the group. Chansung starred in the highly rated Korean sitcom “Unstoppable High Kick” prior to his debut with 2PM. He joined in the same survival game as Junho but lost. He auditioned again for the second time and was accepted into the company.
